Takira Cooksey Bio

TaKira L. Cooksey is an author, speaker and visionary.  She humbly serves alongside her husband, Pastor M. Keith Cooksey and stands as his chief intercessor and advocate.

Mrs. Cooksey has a distinguished transformational ministry and a sought after orator.  As a woman of prayer and excellence she encourages and inspires others to develop an intimate relationship with Christ.  Her biblically-grounded knowledge, passion for spiritual excellence, commitment to prayer, unleashed worship, out of the box thinking, unique and charismatic style has allowed her to share and touch the lives from all walks of life.   Her keep it real boldness, compassionate heart and humble spirit has made her a distinct vocal sound and inspiration who influence women through biblical principles, guidance, resources, support and messages of empowerment.

The Humanitarian & Outreach Service include reaching at risk youth and youth with disabilities by coaching and sponsoring them to become active participants in programs such as Amateur Athletic Union, Texas Amateur Athletic Federation and Special Olympics Texas.  Her service continues by actively participating to address the spiritual needs of the incarcerated through Prison Ministry. She also serves in various outreach ministries and organizations such Literacy, AIDS, Human Trafficking Prevention, Suicide Prevention and Disaster Recovery.

First Lady TaKira Cooksey is a native Houstonian who matriculated through the catholic, public school systems and is a graduate of LeTourneau University with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration.  She furthered her education in theological studies by attending Immanuel Temple Bible College and College of Biblical Studies.  In 1999 at Word of Faith Fellowship, Baytown Texas under the leadership of Pastors George and Mary Frazier the call of God upon her life was birthed and the foundation of ministry was established.

As well as being an outstanding wife and mother, Lady Cooksey is a prayer warrior, mentor, entrepreneur and requested guest speaker with a bold testimony.

Her prayer is that all generations come into the full knowledge of Jesus Christ. Her instinct and drive is to serve others in effort to help people survive this life-long journey and connect with their destiny.

As a global inspiration Lady TaKira Cooksey believes that in order to help people you must meet theme right where they are in life. It is with this simple approach that she has been instrumental in aiding to meet the needs of many individuals.

First Lady Cooksey gracefully trust in the Lord with all her heart and lean not unto her own understanding but in all ways she acknowledges God and allows Him to direct her path (Proverbs 3:5).

She firmly believes “In God there is no failure and without him we are nothing.”

The mantra she stands by is “Be FREE, Be BOLD & Be Who GOD called you to Be.”
